Considering that Apple lets you play your own MP3s on their devices and the fact that B&N has already said they are getting their iPhone app ready for the iPad, I'm not terribly concerned.

If Apple wanted to lock the book market up, they would've already given all the reader apps the boot from the app store and they have not.
