Looks like even the power cables (which are in the ground over here) can't stand this winter... One cable broke (probably due to the expansion of the ground due to freezing...) and we were without power since 2 in the morning... I just hope we'll have power back before the freezer de-freezes completely...

it's virtually impossible to bury cable without having microscopic cracks in it. water seeps into those cracks and when there are hard freezes, it plays havoc with the cable. but as the wet doggy demonstrated, you are oh so better off than having above ground cable!
