A K2i registered in the US allows full web browsing when in other countries. I discovered this when I switched on wireless while in Canada, and received a welcome message from Amazon (on the Kindle) stating that any purchases would be subject to a $2 surcharge because I was out of country, but web browsing was still avaiable at no charge.
