I hope the (x86) was supplied by the debugger because that part of the with a leading space, does not exist on XP versions (is this a 64 bit thing?)

Yeah, it's a 64 bit thing...there is both a regular "Program Files" and a "Program Files (x86)"

I guess I will go ahead and download 0.6.40 to try. I hadn't done anything with Calibre this week until this afternoon when I sat down to work through some files.
