3 or 5 years would be a total commitment of $240/$400, which wouldn't tempt me. Whether they'd lose money depends on what the Kindles cost them - or what they would cost if they did the massive order that this would generate - plus the costs of delivering Prime, less the benefits of additional business.

I can't see it working for them, personally.
