Not sure what version I'm running since it doesn't give it's version in the get info, and I am unwilling to launch the application again since I will have to force a logout once I do.

Ah, wait, the archive says it is 0.6.37

I ran 0.6.37 on my G4 Laptop running 10.5.8 and found it ran no worse than on the MacPro in terms of speed. It also did not kill every other running process and refuse to quit and lock up my UI, so on that score it is much better. It still takes forever to do almost anything, and it took over an hour to process the 191 random ebook files I dropped on it (much faster on the MacPro, only 10m or so).

It's only importing files with partial filenames. Is it using old carbon libraries with a 31 character limit?

Zimmer Bradley, Marion - Avalon 01 - The Mists Of Avalon

was imported with the name

Zimmer Bradley, Marion - Avalon

or something very similar. This meant that all the Avalon books showed identical titles in the 'title' column of Calibre.
