So you'll have to downgrade, open and resave all your HTML0 files made in the older version and then upgrade again and you'll be fine. Turns out the compression in the new version isn't compatible with the old version.

Actually, about Book Designer, I was incorrect. The problem with the older files turned out to be an issue with Book Cleaner. I was converting ? into uni(138) and then uni(138) to ?. That messed things up big time. I not have ? to qqquuu and qqquuu back. That's to fix the sometimes ? becoming emdash.
