EDIT: I just realized that I should quit my job and become a baker. I'm certainly ready for the work hours. And then I could get donuts every day!!!
silly dog, that just means you're living in the wrong time zone ! you should move to paris. then you'd be on a much more normal schedule, and you wouldn't even have to become a baker. but you could still become a baker if you wanted to ; we love cake.

Can I manage to get the wireless set up? Despite following all the instructions to the letter it won't work, except with the ethernet cable.

ah, computer problems. easily the most infuriating, frustrating thing to deal with. i'm currently pretending that i don't get the BSOD several times a week (sometimes twice in the same day) because i just can't face trying (again !) to track down the problem*. you have my utter, absolute sympathy. i'm glad you finally got it sorted, anyway.

*known as the "ostrich" school of computer repair. the irony is that i'm actually the computer expert / tech support for several of my friends, and in fact i spent several hours last week installing various anti-malware apps on my neighbor's computer to get rid of the really annoying adware she had managed to pick up. i guess it just goes to show everything is relative.
