So she "rescued" cats. She had

small two story row house. You looked before you sat to make sure a cat hadn't done something on the chair, and the place smelled like 48 cats in too small a space.
When some sort of feline plague killed off about half of them, I considered it a mercy. Had I known back then that the ASPCA takes a very dim view of that and can legally intervene, I would have sicced them on her.
