As long as the Havlon appears as a USB disk to the system Calibre can be used using the "Save to Disk" facility to load books. You can use all the Calibre facilities around Library management and ebook format conversion.

Getting explicit support added is easy if one follows the instructions provided in the User Guide to collect the way that the Havlon identifies itself. Once that informnation is provided then explicit support typically arrives with the next Calibre release within a week or less.

Advantages of explicit support are:
- The device will show up within calibre so that the books on it can browsed and deleted from from within calibre.
- An explicit profile can be provided (if required) to allow books to be omptimised for the Havlon during conversion
