If there's any veracity to what Itamote reports (from Sony), then it is indeed strange. However, if the report is incorrect, then I've obviously done something wrong.

I'm going to email Sony. I don't expect to hear from them, even if I threaten to return the unit back to Best Buy. However, the possibility of a $269 loss may not bother them one bit. (Who knows, maybe I'll buy a slow nook [my opinion - I've seen it] and just have it shipped over to Peru. If I can't use THAT in Peru, then I'll use it as an expensive "Discussion Ornament.")
