So, yeah, the air-conditioner was not working. Turns out that geckos had shorted the main circuit board (again). It means they'll order a new circuit board (warranty?) and "silicone" it for future protection against suicidal geckos. No idea of the cost yet.

In the meantime, we're expecting "a shower or two with possible local thunder" and the radar is showing the forecast coming up from the southeast. We had 23C overnight and it made it up to 29C today - humid, but not too humid; warm rather than hot. Swim for lunch, and it'll be a swim for afternoon tea (also two cupcakes from our friendly next door neighbour) if the storms don't come.

Warm, hot, hot, warm, humid...I'm lazy, but this kind of weather pushes me into a state of relaxation approaching check-the-body-for-a-pulse. It's a good thing.
