BUT, do *definitely* check to see what version of the firmware you have, because you might need an upgrade. The unit I got hadn't had the firmware upgrade necessary for reading epubs (and boy, it was an adventure figuring that out, being as I'm on a Mac and had to borrow a Windows computer to do it...) so it's *really* important to check to be sure! Other than that slight hiccup, though, my experience with it has been great.

I just bought a demo unit from the Sony store, at a very nice price. Not $139 nice, but nice! I deleted the stuff they had on it, downloaded my stuff, and it seems fine. How can I tell if it needs a firmware upgrade? I had converted all of my html books to EPub on Calibre prior to making the purchase, and I am able to read them with no problem. May I assume all is well?
