Since the outcry was about even having to get a Facebook account, I assumed that "NO!! You do not have to sign up" meant that a Facebook account was not necessary.
NOW you are saying that a Facebook account WAS required, so apparently you only meant we didn't have to sign up as anyone's friend once we had overcome our aversion to ever getting a Facebook account.
I suppose it is my fault for misinterpreting your response and not digging deeper (like the folks who finally got to the bottom of the nook book-loaning feature.)
This does not please me. Not at all. Especially when I took your response at face value and put Astak back on my shopping list.
