I had some crazy idea that I was bringing too much work, would have zero time to read, and just didn't want to bother with it. What was I thinking??? So here I am with no ebook reader, no clothes, and I smell like I've spent the past 48 hours in the clothes I'm wearing (cuz that's what I've had to do). But I do have a nice book to read, thanks to Zee.

pfff. what *were* you thinking ??? but i'm very glad you're enjoying the book.

You only read the first 10 pages? But I thought I remember you raving about it somewhere here! Anyway, I'm only a quarter of the way through it (too much work to do) and I'm still loving it. And I'm sensing that this might be one of those books where I finish the book and then turn back to the first page to reread it straight away. Yes, I can see how this book might appeal particularly to you so please do go back to it.

i only read the first 10 pages in the library book. when i finally bought it, i read more, but meanwhile a very rude member had tried to spoil my pleasure by posting several lengthy (terrible) reviews of the book (and also told me the ending. grrr.

). i didn't read the reviews (except for the beginning of the first one) because i prefer to make up my own mind if i like a book or not, but i found that i couldn't get some of the details out of my head as i was trying to read (notably the ending...) and i had also several other new books at the time, so i decided to put it aside for a little while in hopes of forgetting those details in the meantime, and then, i got distracted by other books and never went back to it. but i think enough time has passed now, i can take it up again.

ah yes, well in that case of course, it's perfectly normal.
thank you florence for the invitation, it was great to see your paintings in person ! and to discover your sculptures as well. you will notice that i have many witnesses (your neighbors and visitors) who can attest that we have been seen speaking together, so there is no point trying to pretend you have no idea who i am the next time you are having drinks at the meurice !
