That reminds me of a school assignment way back when. We had to do it in Java (which was very new at that point) and everybody was praising java because you could run it on every machine! So, we finished our application and wanted to show it to the teacher. But it didn't run on his pc... I think my aversion for Java (in any form) stems from that period
