Oh, Pillars of the Earth is one that I think you will enjoy, don't push it back too long! I picked it up a couple years ago after a friend recommended it to me, not expected all that much. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down.

Now I am reading (about a third of the way through) "Let the Right One In". The plot is interesting but fairly creepy, and I have to say that the writing style is a little too pared down for my taste - however, that might have something to do with the translator as well. Still an interesting, if creepy, read.

Next on my list is Margaret Atwood's The Year of the Flood, and I am considering putting "Let the Right One In" aside mid-read to get this one started! I really enjoyed Oryx and Crake, which is set in the same world.
