As I have said a lot of time this measurement is not accurate at all for short stories that you download as html pages. That is because the html contains a lot of metadata and other stuff that are not shown as text and that is included in the total page count.

That was not what I wrote. I talked about a sense of progress when you have read 20 pages. Or read 10 pages. Or whatever.
