And to your list I would add the Mercedes Thompson series by Patricia Briggs
I started "Mooncalled" and it grabbed me right away, so yeah, Patricia Briggs went on the list.

Mercedes Lackey --Diana Tregarth series--another series worth getting. Ellon Guon co-wrote another series with her--excellent. VERY EXCELLENT. Get them all.

And just to name another obscure author to really get you going, Elizabeth Cosin. Out-of-print BUT. SERIOUSLY. GOOD. These are more like Virginia Lanier in terms of mystery--not really cozy. But page-turners.

Buried. We will bury you under a TBR pile!!!
Ok, another vote for Patricia Briggs, she stays on the list. I keep hearing Mercedes Lackey, but have no idea where to start with her - guess with Diana Tregarth (and that name is going to constantly remind me of Barbara Michael's Wait for What Will Come...) Elizabeth Cosin sounds like she might be as hard to find as copies of Virginia Rich's books...tantalizing but can't get there from here.

I'm keeping a list here; and thoroughly enjoying everyone's recommendations, cozy, urban fantasy, or other (see that, PhishStyx??).

Yeah, they're killing me too, but it's fun, and what a way to go! Either bankrupted in the pursuit of good books, or buried in my TBR pile.
