I understand the sentiment Sweetpea. I wasn't very happy when I bought a house with a low-flow toilet that worked horribly. From what I understand, soap without phosphates also sucks (there still legal where I live). So, I do agree that a working alternative should be available before a product is banned. However, in the case of lighting, I believe a working alternative does exist. I've used fluorescent lighting for years, as has every school I've attended and business at which I've worked. It may not provide the same warmth of light, but when weighed against environmental concerns we need to decide which is more important.
