I have tested it with the following -
LRX (from Sony) , LRF (Google classics), Adobe Digital Edition (from Library), Adobe PDF (textbook) , and RTF (a document I created)
It worked well and selected and defined from all of these documents.
I have a LRF of the book 1984, and I was unable to choose "one word." Every time I tapped on the document it selected several words at the same time. So, I would assume that there could be issues with some documents depending on whether they were appropriately converted in the first place.
[I only downloaded 1984 because Kindle users had theirs stolen -
it's just my wacky sense of humor to prove that I could have it and THEY couldn't.
