actually, bizarrely enough, *i* can hear those noises too although i shouldn't (well... maybe not "hear" exactly, it's more like a very odd sensation which is not exactly noise and it's quite uncomfortable, sort of like a ringing in my ears, or a feeling of pressure, or... well, it's hard to describe. it's like there is something i feel i *should* be hearing, but i can't quite hear it, so my ears get very confused). so the answer is no. but i might try it one of these days, i could put it on the window sill outside the window and see what happens...
