I was right on the verge of buying a Sony PRS-505 before the Kindle 2 came out and sent the price of the K1 down very low (paid $205 for mine). Even though their software situation almost always sucks, Sony is amazing when it comes to hardware design. The VAIO Pocket 40GB MP3 player was the best I have ever used (sadly, it died when my cat knocked it off of my DVD tower
