I'm not complaining here. I got what I paid for: a functioning device for reading books. Firmware upgrades? Nice to have. Do I need them? No! The few bugs in the original firmware were corrected.
Do they have bad comunication skills? Yes...But try to communicte with Sony or Creative. Do I believe any company about future upgrades? No, They are all terrible. People had bad experiences with Vista. Mostely because all hardware companies refused to update they firmware. And they had almost 2 years to do it. They simply didn't do it.
Did I get service from Bookeen when I really needed it? Yes, within 5 days everything was arranged. Email was answered within hours. They couldn't have done it faster simply because sending/receiving the package from the Netherlands to France vv. is taking 4 days. They even managed to give the new, more luxurious, device the same PID so I had no trouble with the DRM
