No, eReader is the software to display eReader format eBooks. If we keep misusing eReader then we will yet again cause more confusion. There have been cases of people purchasing eReader format ebooks by mistake because they have a reader and people calling them an eReader and Fictionwise recommending eReader can cause confusion to people who do not yet fully understand eBooks and readers. So the proper definition for eReader is software and an eBook format. eReader is not portable hardware used to display eBooks.
