I don't agree with that statement (at least not completely) But I would say LCD is better for some applications, e-ink for others.

Why do you need a refresh rate as fast as lcd, colour, for just "reading"?

And "touchscreens" arn't inherant to LCD either for that matter.

They would be nice sure, but they are not neccessary.

You tell me where I can get an LCD device which is as readable as e-ink in bright sunshine and that doesn't give me migraines when reading on the tube...
How could my statement be unfounded when I didn't make one? I asked a question.

Here is the thing I don't think anyone understands. I don't think either technology is better; both have their strengths and weaknesses. I'm just sick and tired of other people making unfounded claims of superiority.
