excuse the lame photography but it's an example between the 2 units. The one thing I noticed side by side is that the font is much clearer/darker on the 1000 and the DX is pretty light, even more so than K1. I think I read other forums stating the same thing with a light text color on the DX. Side by side page turns and refresh rates, the DX blows away my 1000 on a number of different .pdf's that I chose.
