I did the Wikipedia thing after I posted, so now I know better -- I had remembered having difficulty in my first Asus EEE with SDHC cards, and I wanted to know why (there was some sort of SD reader firmware kerfuffle with the original EEE.) Thanks for the heads up, too, though. And I'll look for a Transcend card -- if I can find one here in Thailand... I know I can find Kingston.

Well, I know I can find cards with the Kingston label. This is Thailand after all, so nothing is certain.
