No. If the book gets fixed, you can just download the fixed copy.
Well, this is definitely how it works for the multiformat ebooks. I haven't had to test on a DRMed ebook yet, but since they have to re-encode if you change your PID (for Mobipocket), I'm pretty sure the same applies.
