It seems that there is to some screen failure (but not broken screen) that are under the waranty (it seems that is what some people call "broken screen controller" even if I doubt this is really the case)

Basicly, if the reader broke because you hit it , drop it then no warenty. No mater what part of the reader got broken.
If part of the electonics got broke, i understand changing the device is easier. But it shoudn't affect warenty.
