Yes, is feasible to let you control the opacity of the thumbnails and control their "ghostly" effect, so that can have a fully opaque one.
Work on that.
The problem is that the cover is being dulled way too much. When I have it set to no text and to show the full cover, the covers can be rather dark and dull and hard to read. That's because the colors are being muted. I'd like to see how it looks with the cover colors not touched at all.

I have another bug to fix in Bookshelf view. When I click Group by and select Hyphen, it shows when the books with hyphens start, but not when they end.

This snip shows the bug and shows the dull muted colors that need fixing. Have a look at the last cover on the lower right. It's unreadable.
