Of course "generations" exist. The experiences of a generation vary more with country, culture / ethnic group, income etc than dividing by decades as Boomers or Millenniums and than making sweeping generalisations. It's stupid and lazy as well as abusive!
...and yet amazingly useful and accurately predictive, else they wouldn't do it.
I do wonder if there was in fact a post WWII baby boom in Africa and the Middle East, etc, though.
