Imho minidiscs are super-cool, I was serching about some time ago, but all the portable devices within that tech uses/used stilo batteries, which - imho again - it's not that reliable (won't think at rechargeable ones too). I was close to find one as for audiocar, as the ones that claims USB features offers mp3 support, and not many others formats that could be better, thought that it would had needed a second device as for to record them (so at the end I'd just found a genuine audiocar and plug the DAP within the wired aux).
But minidiscs are clean to organize, to keep, and offers a good quality in audio, iirc.
