I do not understand your logic here. Unless the jailbreak devs are holding back further exploits, this new firmware version will not be jailbreak-able for now. That makes this the perfect time to add new DRM that requires a jailbreak to defeat.

If I am right then only Kindles running firmware older than this latest one will be usable for DRM removal. But there is still a lot of uncertainty. The DRM change might never be actually activated by Amazon.
