And I was surprised to find it to be SF with a viewpoint character of an android.
It was quite interesting, but I wasn't convinced by the technology, nor the characters' interactions with it. But the internal voice of the android was interesting, and I found it very readable. 4/5
Next up was
Hot Moon by Alan Smale. From Book Bale. I was hesitant about this at first, but it turned out to be an alternate history of the space race, with lots of action. Fun, and an interesting idea. Also 4/5
Then I read Cory Doctorow's
The Lost Cause. Near future SF that is reminiscent, from the other side, of a book described in it, in that it is basically propaganda, but very readable propaganda. I have to give it 5/5, as I was kept awake last night finishing it.
Next up: A random bit from the TBR pile:
Mrs Pargeter's Plot, by Simon Brett. A cosy mystery.
