Hey folks, facing the same issue here. In my case I'm jailbreaking my devise for the first time.
Devise: Kindle PaperWhite Wifi - B024 - PW
Firmware: 5.6.1.1

Steps to replicate
1. Factory reset
2. Downgrade FW to 5.4.4 following OP advice from https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...08&postcount=7 (before I found this thread)
3. Jailbreaked with K5 Factory JailBreak (Factory FW) following https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=186645. Got "**** JAILBREAK ****"
4. Given that I got v1.16N I did not install MKK
5. Restarted the devise ([HOME] -> [MENU] > Settings -> [MENU] > Restart)
6. Installed KUAL by pasting KUAL-KDK-2.0.azw2 into my Documents folder
7. Get the error trying to open KUAL

Things I've tried so far:
- Repeated all steps to make sure I got the same result
- Placed Update_mkk-20250419-k5-ALL_keystore-install.bin in the root folder and updated (got that file here https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...postcount=1295)
- Installed MRPI following https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=251143, placed Update_mkk-20250419-k5-ALL_keystore-install.bin inside mrpackages directory and then run MRPI via ;log mrpi in the search

Still get "This item is not signed by an authorized developer" every time I try to open KUAL.

Haven't tried this one yet: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...postcount=1597
But as I've never upgraded FW after downgrading it, I'm not sure if that's required.

To prevent any unexpected upgrade, I haven't connected my devise to wifi since the factory reset.

Anything I might be missing?
