Not really. I use an old Kindle charger I bought back in 2011. I charge my Sage when there's 10-20% left and take it off the charger a few hours later, usually. I've never left it to charge overnight (more due to the fact that I have 3 cats and so I never leave my ereaders unattended for a long time, than to any concerns about battery longevity).
