Sure, my kobo OS hasn't been updated for many years - I stopped it connecting after updates kept making things worse - and maybe it's better these days, but I've rarely had major issues with the actual reading part on any of my kindles.
Reading ePub is faster then it was. Highlighting with ePub is easier then it was. So those are two very good reasons to switch. Fixing the margins on ePub is very easy to do in most cases. Some you do have to dig at the code because it's so bad such a when Velum is used and from Standard EBooks who want what should be very simple code to be overly complex and useless code.
