The “eject” function is not present on new Kindles as they use MTP for file transfer instead of USB file storage.
Maybe one last thing, you say “
All the files from the WinterBreak.tar.gz were extracted to the internal storage folder of my kindle.” Are you extracting the files directly to the Kindle storage, or first in a directory on your computer, which you then copy over to the Kindle storage? Because extracting directly to the Kindle storage is not normally supported by MTP, so that might be the issue.
Basically if you really see all the files in your Kindle storage (except the Trash folder if you’re not on a Mac) as per the attached image (stolen from the kindlemodding site), then I really don’t have any other idea of what could be going wrong.
