I display it in full in book-details. In the book list I have the column shrunk to minimum with an icon.

But there's something that bothers me about it. If I press F2 on the cell I don't get a dialogue box to enter/edit the value, instead I get a very short inline edit box. I understand why, the long text editor only pops if the column is defined as having HTML mark up… which I don't want in a subtitle.

So I can either enter/edit in the semi-darkness or use MDE and cut and paste between the Title (which more often than not contains the subtitle) and Subtitle fields which in my case are on different Tab panels.

Such is life.
