This is a "don't put beans up your nose" issue. Sideloading via USB and keeping a Kindle offline I suspect is not mainstream. One cannot possibly come up with every possible issue to warn off potential purchasers, nor should one. It's up to the purchaser to identify their parameters. I see what seems to me to be a lot of FUD in these threads when a hapless poster just wants some reassurance or a nudge in the right direction. Something that's really easy-peasy becomes fraught and it's so unnecessary and counterproductive.
