KFMon will be automatically installed to your Kobo if you install KOReader using the One-Click-Install packages provided here:

KFMon acts as the launcher utility on Nickel (the Kobo GUI) which facilitates opening KOReader like a book. There is also NickelMenu, that adds an extra menu entry on the bottom menu bar on Nickel, which is also included in the OneClickPackages. (My NickelMenu also shows an extra entry for my own secondary KOReader installation and I don't think I had to edit anything extra for that after doing the above KFMon edits, but it's been a while and I don't remember for certain.The above steps will definitely be enough for the new launcher icon to get you started.)
