Does anybody know why Cool Reader insists of having a new page on alignment change?

I use Cool Reader for proof reading of my work as a translator. I know it's discontinued, which is why I'm not sending this to the creator. I have one thing that bugs me, after I have had to convert to a new way of working (software changes in my company): If there's a document (I import RFT's) which has a change in alignment, so there is a centered line in the middle of a left aligned document, CR always adds a page break ahead of that paragraph. Does anybody know why, and maybe how I can avoid that? When there are more than one centered lines bookended by left aligned lines I get the annoying effect that there is one line on each page.
