Let's see, here we have fucking Fedora monkeypatching upstream OpenSSL in a way that means that upstream OpenSSL cannot even *read* the config they have /etc/ssl. They didnt even have the fucking decency to change their monkeypatched OpenSSL to read their incompatible config from someplace other than the default upstream location. Basic fucking decency. If calibre did not come with its own dependencies, the absolute shitshow that is Linux and its million incompatible pointless distros would not work AT ALL.

And I am fast approaching the the point where I am just going to stop supporting Linux all together. It's not worth the hassle. Linux and its twelve users generate more problems than the other several million users put together. So tell me some more about how this is calibre's fault, PLEASE.
