Why would my insurance kick up its heels over paying the $3.65 (after my $10 copay) for such a cheap and common medicine? They've never batted an eye at much more expensive prescriptions before.
Needless to say, I purchased the medicine myself and assured my insurance company that they could save their $3.65. Which is probably what they wanted me to do anyway. Hence the Prior Authorization runaround in the first place. What a bunch of carp.

I truly hate the US Medical Insurance scam. I do NOT miss it at ALL. But I feel for you. I really do.

Afraid I'm still an atheist, David. Since no one is yet willing to give curling religion status.
