Thanks a lot again for all the responses. I recently upgraded to a 6.8 in Kindle Paperwhite and also bought a Libra 2. Libra 2 has something that I like a lot. The screen is crisper, brighter, and somehow feels bigger though it is only 0.2 in difference. I also like how the TOC is presented, not to mention the great support for Pocket and OverDrive. The highlight export is the main and critical thing that prevents me from using it more.
hatuluang, Many thanks. I checked out the post and zip file. I have no idea how to install it or use it. Anywhere I can find a readme file or installation guide? I am comfortable with coding in general, just not familiar with the code used there. Also I just want to export highlights of a book at a time. I imagine I will eventually have many books with highlights. I don't want to have the highlights from all the books exported in one file every time I export. Anyway to do that?
Quoth, Thanks a lot. I heard of Calibre a lot in Kobo community. Though it is not only for Kobo, it looks like a lot of Kobo users have that. I guess I just have to try it together with Kobo Utilities to see how it goes.
Kindle has two ways, from app and ereaders, to export highlights and the formats are different. The one from ereaders exports a spreadsheet and a pdf file. The one from the app exports a html file. All of them are fantastic. I attached the screenshot of a html file here. Isn't it nice? I wish Kobo will come up with something similar.
