The map (the only one as far as I can see) is not really readable. Here a higher resolution and zooming would be great, but that is just not available in ePub yet.
I checked the image of the door to Moria on page 349 and it looks very sharp and detailed on the Reader taking up 90% of the height of the screen.
The image is just to get a feel for the size.
