Personally I don't think that paying a little extra for a Sony branded charger that is certified by Sony for use with the PRS-505 is a trial. Yes, I bought the thirty dollar Sony charger and yes, if I had done my homework then I would have probably used one of my three PSP chargers instead but that being said, I don't actually regret my purchase but I do feel slighted by Sony for their negligence in not including a Sony charger with the unit. I mean, taxes in, I paid $400 dollars here in Canada for the bloody reader and one would think that at that premium they would have included a charger. As I've mentioned before; even my $169 PSP included a charger.
I have to say that the best accessory that I have bought for the PRS-505 is a book light; the Mighty Bright TravelFlex edition. I tried the Sony light wedge style unit with the integrated book cover and I have to say the Mighty Bright is 100 percent better and 50 dollars cheaper.
I guess you can teach a old dog new tricks.
