oh this is part of my quest to find what images are being in use and where, to remove the unnecessary so I can shrink my epub size even further.
whenever I obtain a new ebook the first thing I do is subset the font, lossy compress the images and the only step left to take is to see if some images are really necessary or not before erasing them.
when they are deleted, [image] indicator replaces the real image so it reminds me something was there.
It is not easy to say what image is necessary and what is not just by seeing the image itself. You gotta see how the image is used and where it is put in the context, where the need for easier navigating through the images in the document arises.
