Yes. The fact that it wasn't "your fault" will be a comfort to everyone. Yourself included.

I've personally experienced (several times) the near disaster of the near instantaneous occurrence of ball-followed-by-child at speeds much slower than the legal limit. But you go right ahead and believe your reflexes to be infallible, and that your god-given right to drive right at the legal limit (posted or otherwise) without criticism is inviolate.
